Celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with Living Memories Online Archive Collections

On 6th February, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. Living Memories Online has created a special collection of online archive videos taking a look back through Elizabeth II's iconic life, from her days as a young Princess, through to the Coronation in 1953 and beyond.

Celebrations are planned across the country over the coming months, including street parties, parades, and pageants. It's a great time to reflect back on previous festivities that united the country and brought people out into the streets as a community. Over the long bank-holiday weekend in June, Trooping the Colour will be back in full for the first time since the pandemic began, as well as the Queen attending a Derby at Epsom Downs.
